Tomorrow (Tuesday) is the 20th anniversary of the closing down of the pirate radio stations in Ireland with the introduction of the Broadcasting Bill. I know that some stations have held reunions over the past year to mark the occasion, but just to let you know that there is a sort of unofficial get together of past pirates taking place in Dublin tomorrow, if you are interested in going along for an anorak/nostalgia session.
The amount of people from that era who are now still making their living from radio is phenomenal - a bit of a golden generation thing.
The 'do' is in Scruffy Murphys Pub in Dublin and it kicks off at 8pm.
Have fun...and don't forget to wear your old station t-shirt !
